Originating from Courtenay on Vancouver Island, Denise moved to Whistler in 1998, spending 20 years living in this amazing community.

Her profession as a Chef, led a desire to produce pottery which offers practicality and function, while providing aesthetic beauty. Denise is a self taught Potter, educating herself through various Centers around the lower mainland and the World including ; Gaya Ceramics in Bali and recently as a Artist in Residency in Vallauris, France.

Denise started potting in 2000 and constantly finds inspiration in her surroundings and the natural beauty of the B.C. Coast.

In 2012, she apprenticed with Master Potter, Vincent Massey, in Whistler and fostered a friendship with the Massey's that will last a lifetime.

She is currently inspired by the rock formations found in the coastal tidal margins of the Gulf Islands off Vancouver Island. This was the main inspiration for her Artist in Residency at A.I.R. Vallauris, France.

Denise is an active member of the Sea to Sky Potters Guild, Whistler Arts Council and the BC Potter's Guild. She regularly attends Farmer's Markets and displays her work for sale in Whistler at, Mountain  Home Decor, in Function Junction.
